Happy has a big effect on how fast you gain Battle Stats. The more the better. (If you want to see exactly how much your stats will benefit from properties/ upgrades/ staff, use This calculator.)
It also effects your ability to do Crimes.

Once you have bought a house you can no longer sell it back to the system, you have to sell it on the player market. Consider renting a house for bigger benefits.
Please remember that once you've bought an upgrade you can't get your money back.

well my idea is that if you have the money to pay for them in the first place, the taxes are gonna bring you down a whole lot...
GAVIN , February 24, 2007

King Ubu
It would depend on a number of factors working as one, it is viable if you are married and charge the partner 50% of the tax daily. Or you can rent it out for Xnumber a day so people can use it to train. Or if you happen to have a lot of money (and we're talking a hell of a lot) it is good to buy and then use it in the short time you have it to train stats. 300 For every 1 rep on either stat is something a lot of people would die for. A lot of people do have the castle and island, but how they can afford it is beyond me.

hi I have an Private Island :)

Everyone talking about how hard to pay tax. it are not hard to pay tax really, i do GTA and i earn about 25-32 K for each Car and have an 34 Nerve bar, I pay easy tax more money each day :).

No need to mug me ^^hah!
QuadroX , April 21, 2007

ohh my...if u have $500,000,000 to buy a private island,u thought u will not enough income to pay the interest that time?
dont tell me u buy 312.5 donator packs (1.6mil in market price now) to own a private island at level 1 age 1. impossible wat...
sure u are doing at least nerve 12 crimes stealing cars, earn either 5k-80k. do it 5 times a day already more then enough for 100k taxes.
swim at your own risk, afford taxes with your crimes money gaining. LOL ^^
stanic , May 12, 2007

QuadroX
Hey dude.. :D..

I really do arson-Warehouse and gain silly 10 K each crime =). i want xp not money :P.. But i do like 14 times a day ^^
QuadroX , May 30, 2007

i'd like to know the benefit (as a value) of each house not so much the cost of each happy, wth is that supposed to prove?

if training with no house gets me 50 on a full 15 train what will a castle get me? etc.

and the taxes arent that high, i can make that kind of money easily in a day just on crimes alone.
wothth eaddition of companies its even easier still.
thepordage , June 11, 2007

what happens when you dont have enough cash to pay tax
Andy411 , June 23, 2007

jcgamo88
You fall into debt. Your money will go into the negative. That's about it.
jcgamo88 , June 28, 2007

QuadroX
$ per Happy =.. How much you Paid for each happy on the bar... let me show you.. you buy Detached house $300,000 then you / 200 = 1500$ have you Paid for each happy... Get it ? =)
Quadroxy , June 28, 2007

jcgamo88
@thepordage, I added what you requested. If you want to know what the gains would be with your current stats then look into the Training / Stat Guide we have for the stat formula.
jcgamo88 , June 29, 2007

Look, if you think paying that much in rent a day is expensive, you probably don't have enough crime experience to own a private island. If you can do Kidnappings then you only have to do two a day and you'll break even. Every one after that is pure profit. Now with 18 nerve crimes you can easily make massive amounts of a cash AND gain a lot in training. Its as simple as experience. Even if you were lame and paid 500 dollars in donator packs to get something you don't deserve you won't be able to afford it in the long run. Tax is good, I'm rambling. Goodbye.
Sharpie , July 30, 2007

Bigger houses dont make much of a difference once you have high enough of stats.

In a PI:
With full happy you should be getting 206.79 speed per one train

In a Shack:
With full happy you should be getting 202.762 speed per one train in Average Joe's.

Thats only 1mil of one stat, which tons of people have now.
Eh? , August 05, 2007

Bigger houses don't make as much of a difference, but they're still worth it!

Consider: in the example "Eh?" makes, PI gives 206.79 stats, and shack gives 202.762 stats. That's still 2% difference. That 2%, especially with some xanax, still fans the flames of exponential stats growth.

But if you need to cut your house down, at least keep a mansion!
Passing Dream , September 02, 2007

if you own a company and your friend is an employee. you could marry him/her and pay them 100k a day from company funds. only do it if you earn more than 200k a day with your company.
Jim dawson , September 09, 2007

i have a semi detached house, if i buy a shack, do i get the 75k back again or do i lose all the money?

TCB: You get your money back. Houses are considered the safest way to store money in TC. Remember that you lose all of your happy when you buy a new one though.
aligindahouse , September 22, 2007

AngelFromHell
My hubby owns the mansion we live in.....if i had the money to buy a better place does he have to sell the current home 1st or can I do that?

TCB: You can purchase a new house at any time, it will automatically move both of you into the better one. Your hubby can still sell his house afterwards.
AngelFromHell , September 25, 2007

Samrulez
what does the stat gain mean?

Samrulez , October 05, 2007

TCB: It just 'dissapears', no-one gets it.
azzamcazza , October 19, 2007

you see the stat gain bit, is that per day?

TCB: It's per single train, with ten of the stat you're training (see 'Training/ Stat guide' for the training formula)

what happens if you got the airstrip and plane you get 75m in cash?
abc , October 30, 2007

Gelosea
Im not entirely sure whether its the medical facility, or the doctor, or both... but one of the upgrades increases the percentage of life you regenerate every 15 mins. I've been told that you gain either a fifth, or a quarter of your health back, (your site says 1/5... Templar said 1/4, but he may have been confused and talking about RV... I dont know.) either way I've gained more. I have max HP of 22,150, and gained around 6646. hope this helps at all.
