mIRC Chain Bot

Be aware, this has not been updated since 2009. Many overhauls and changes to the chaining system have taken place since then. The Author, [102841] does not login regularly and does not keep up with the game. As such, use this at your own risk, there will be no support for it.

Thanks to jcgamo88 [102841] for making this free Chaining Bot!!

Instructions for manual copy and paste:

1. Goto http://www.mirc.com/get.html and download a fresh copy of mIRC
2. Open mIRC, the one you just downloaded
3. Press Alt + O
4. Click IRC and make sure "Auto-join.." down to "Keep channels open" are all checked
5. Expand the Display area and click Options
6. Click the "Tray" button, make sure "Place mIRC in tray when minimized" is checked then click OK
7. Press Alt + R
8. In the new window that appear go File > New
9. Paste the script.
10. Click Yes or OK to the prompt and then follow the next prompt
Click here for instructions with images
*Remember to do #2-10 in the bot's mIRC window, not your main one.

Updating:
Option 1
1. Go into mIRC and press Alt+R
2. Go View>Chainbot.mrc
3. Open up this TCb page and copy the code
4. Go back to mIRC and select the entire code shown (Ctrl+A) then press the Delete key.
5. Paste the code you just copied from the TCb page.
6. Go File>Unload
7. Go File>Load - Chainbot.mrc
Option 2
1. Delete the mIRC folder where the bot resides
2. Download and unZip the new chainbot here: http://www.multiupload.com/NRJ26TVAG7 (Valid as of June 01, 2011)

What's the difference?
Option 1 will keep all your settings and stored IDs.  Option 2 will be a complete and fresh install with none of your customizations, saved files, or logs.

Usage:
1. Give the bot a name and register the nick through nickserv (/ns register )
2. Now give the bot access on your faction's chan (/cs access #chan add 15)
3. When members join the channel and are able to chain have them type "!chaining". When they are done chaining have them type "!notchaining"

4. To start a chain type "!chain on"
5. When they hosp someone have them paste the "You continue to beat.." to add their victim to the chain count.
6. If chainers are unable to get to IRC and are able to talk to someone who is on IRC, have the person logged onto IRC type 911 and the person's name who did the hosp. This will also add to the chain count.

7. When you start a new chain type "!respect *****" replacing * with your actual respect.  At anytime during the chain after you have done so you need only paste "Respect: ******" straight from your faction info page to see how much respect you have gained during the chain.

Chainbot V2.9.2 Code:
Please make sure you copy ALL of the code, otherwise it might not work properly

Not to expose myself as a total noob but what is the Chainbot or where is there an explanation.

This is a tool to help factions keep track of their chains. Members are told when their chain is about to break and also keeps logs of who participates and who they hit.

There's nothing complicated about that bot lol. It's probably the most basic version of a chainbot I've seen..

Is a chain bot required to chain or is it just a tool to help you out?

TCB: It's just a tool.

This won't work because all the script text has been merged in to one big block. Line breaks are needed for it to work.
