IRC / Chat

Torn City Basic now hosts it's own IRC Client which connects to the Torn City IRC server. When you use this client, it connects to irc.torncity.com just like the in-game IRC client that Torn City uses.
Please note that all Torn City Rules and IRC Rules still apply while using this client. Your behavior is your own responsibility and if you get banned from IRC, there is nothing we can do about that!
After connecting to the server, type "/nick YourNickname" to change your nickname. Then type "/join #lobby" to join the lobby channel, you can replace #lobby with the channel of your choice (other good options are #help, #irchelp, #traders, #auctioneers and #radio). By default it will join you into #tcbasic.

i got the same problem connecting but just use this link http://www.freewebs.com/tradingpostchat/ and then click on the link on the page and it will automatically connect u to the chat ..gotta love google..

OK None of those links above worked, but I get the same message as Chyreen. I even tried downloading the app and that gave me the same message. I think it's my virus protection junk. How can I change it?

You guys should add info on how to register your own irc channel. I'm someone who's used quakenet for years and when I came over to TC IRC it was a completely different process to get your own channel registered and to get people auto-oped. After about 45 minutes of messing around with commands I finally got it figured out. However I'm still unsure of all the different user evel codes. There's only 3 user levels but you use codes 0 through 9?
TCB: We don't currently have any staff familiar with IRC sorry, but if anyone is willing to write a guide on anything IRC related, we would be happy to put it up.

on the channel #drugden if u tipe an exclamnation mark then the first 3 letters of a drug u will get the prices of that drug in different countries e.g:

1994bradley: you are either not conected to the internet or havent got the latest version of java. download the latest version of java at: http://java.com/en/download/help/index.xml

there is a lot of bugs in it. the best thing to do is to use the internet explorer8. opera is not compantible for firefox it sometimes freezes. the java plugins also need to be updated.
i don't recommend u to use opera , netscape navigator. mozilla.

i cant log onto my account because of my password for my email adresses has been changed and i dont know who done it or how it done it so is there any chance than u could change my password back to normal so i can log on and change my email adress if you can then my name is d3al3r
