I was wondering how people successfully run drugs. I've heard of people making hundreds of millions by running Xanax. But whenever i've tried to do it, i've either made around 500K, or ended up losing a decent bit of money. Is there a trick to it that I am missing? It seems the profit margins aren't very large considering you also have to pay fees to put it up on the market, and then spend all the time traveling.

Get a Private Island with an Airstrip.

This will give you a +10 in Items you can buy in other countries. So in total you get to bring back 15 Items. Another bonus you get from the Airstrip is a reduce of 1/3 in the time it takes to travel. Some companies give you a +2 Item bonus (not sure which and to lazy to check out). So you could even get 17 Items in a single 2way flight.

Then make sure you know the going rates on TC for all sorts of drugs. Just write them down cause normally they dont change that much.

Then visit #Torn on an Irc client. After doing this join the Drugden (its #drugden if im correct) and ask for the current drug prices in all countries (cheapest are listed).
Now you will see the going sell rates in TC and current sell price in other Countries. If you are lucky you can buy Xanax for ~600k each, and sell them in TC for ~850k each.

Ignore the market and find a high lvl player instead for who you can travel constantly. This way you can make 250kx15 per flight. Thats an easy 3.75M per flight, not bad if you ask me. There will be days you will earn less per flight, but a minimum of 2.5M per flight is guaranteed.
