Restructuring, Apologies

We thank everyone for their patience while TCB was down.
There are a few changes of note:

All discussion and correspondence related to TCB, or TCB matters, are now to be conducted through TCB's mail system, forums, or directed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or at your own risk. We also advise against the use your TC name/ ID outside of TC, in any format, as TC staff may take use this information to take action against your account.
Hopefully this change does not inconvenience you.
Please still continue to submit information, and correct incorrect information! TCB helps you help each other.

dedication over the years, performed without reward or particular

They wish to thank you for your help and support, and regret that this
decision had to be made. They hope you understand the reasons behind
this move.
TCB has been removed from the 'TC Community' links in the city. 17% of
our hits currently come directly from TC, and we're sure about 10% of
that come from that link. We want to thank TC for their valued, and
unrequested, support in this manner over the years. We hope that TC
does not find further cause to inconvenience you in the future.
Finally, the new staff would like to reassure you that you will not notice any change in the way that TCB is managed.
TC's players are still our top priority, and our goal is purely to
provide 'basic' information to the user. We will still be avoiding
'political' matters, which we unfortunately have failed to do in this
isolated incident. We also will continue to release material that we
feel is of use to the player, regardless of TC's stance on the subject.
However, we still wont be releasing information that is harmful to TC
as a whole.
On a different note, the new staff will be dedicating some time to
updating TCB in three weeks or so, but will be getting used to their
new position until then. Please give them some time.
Sorry about the fuss everyone, and sorry again for the temporary site
closure! I look forward to running TCBasic with you! Feel free to
discuss, or question, our actions and decisions openly on our forums,
or elsewhere on TCB.

Your site is displaying links to direct link to steal First Aid Kits or Morphine. This is bug abuse and abusing a loophole to advantage which your site is promoting.
I ask you to remove any links to any material that can be seen as bug abuse. Failure to do so we will remove the site from the TC Community links and ban the site entirely from Torncity. We will also Fed Jail everyone listed on your site as Founder for the promotion of abusing bugs.

TCB has always endeavored to level the playing field for everyone in TC, no matter their age, level, or knowledge. We've found and been submitted many harmful bugs and cheats, and only chosen to disclose those that are already being abused by some players to an unfair advantage.
TC admin however would rather attempt to harass our hardworking staff than try to fix their bugs.
After two years of daily updates as an independent site, with NO connection to TC, we can assure you that we are not going to start being TC Staff's bitch now.
We request your patience while we work through a solution that will allow us to serve the users best.

Good to hear we're back up and running. Kudos to the new management. The reason cited for TCB's demise was the dumbest I've ever seen. Chedburn just got pissed off that he was the most hated in our polls.

Hope they won't harass you anymore, even if I say I hate this change of staff (no offence to the new staff, is just that all of this is crazy and I can't believe what happened) I wish you good luck, as TC staff isn't famous for its patience and generousity.

iv been using TCB for quite a while now, and i am full thankful and gratful for all the info they have provided me.
i just want to say whenever i saw info about a bug, glitch, etc, i in NO way used it, but protected my account from it as much as i could.
I do not care for hiding my name, I have been banned plenty of times for unkown reasons, which 1 ban was resulting in me losing 31 days of DP status for the reason that someone sent me a spam letter, i signed up to a game, and i mail him back saying he might like this game (not spamming here), TC Staff did NOT do action against his account for spamming god knows how many players... Just me for that 1 mail.
IF chedburn and TC staff want to be so childish about this, let them.

I'v got a free mind, and i am entiled to say what i wish, i personaly think TC has gone overbored a couple of times, even when we tried to get our money back for DP's we did not recive thanks to the "time machine" Update.
It's not allowed for us to do anything, but yet, they are allowed to take our cash without service or goods?

lol, that quote is from V for Vendetta. I think the only relation to Torncity in that quote is that because they're too stupid to find out how the bug is being caused, they're going to send emails to hosts in attempts to shut sites down so that no one knows about their bugs. If they're going to go to so much trouble to do all that, why not remove the Bug Report link anyways? It's completely useless in my opinion- no one is served from it.

Putting my name in here cant have any consequences for me IG.
I've helped many many players on here, which Im very proud off.
This whole Morphine thing I completely missed. Not that hard when on holiday though
But if someone ever can explain the whole story (why the hell new Admins? Its not like this is an official TC Forum, belonging to TC) feel free to PM me. I just like to know how, what, why and when.
I will continue enjoying this game with all bugs, crashes, fixes and updates for as long as I want. Never abused anything or broke deliberately any rules.

TCB had a link where you could get SFAK / FAK / Morphine even if in jail, hospital or you were not in the medical job, but you still had to have enough job points to get it.
It has been here for months as far as I know, and nobody ever said nothing.
Then the latest TCB poll came, "Which TC staff member do you like the least?", and obviously Chedburn is winning (never shown much patience with people, seems like he doesn't hear us etc).
At this point, Chedburn deletes TCB link from the "TC community" links, saying that TCB supports bug abusing. A bug that could be fixed in no time.
Ah, obviously he banned every TCB admin!
Now that could have two explanations:
1) Ched really didn't see those links, and when he saw them he decided they were illegals;
2) Ched saw the poll and banned them all in anger.
I don't know which one is the real one, but hey, they could be both for me, even if the second is the one I could believe more.
@ PimpChu: don't judge so easily, let them work first and then see if their "fixes" will improve TCB or not!

I am in the same frame of mind as PimpChu. I do not care if Chedburn or his lackeys see my name on here. He has already given me a warning for speaking my mind about the factions the first time he revoked peaceful status, lying to everyone in the 800 new peaceful factions. How TC's glorious dictator can be so cruel and insensitive to the needs of those who support his lifestyle is beyond me.
I have been using TC Basic since the very day I was introduced to Torn City, and would not have made nearly as good as I have without the vital information that is found in these hallowed pages.
The old administration team has my eternal gratitude for what they have given us, and my deepest sympathy for how poorly they have been treated by Chedburn. If he takes action against people he knows or suspects are players of Torn City because he sees their names here, then I dare bring up the infamous witch hunt known as the McCarthy Hearings, which took place in the USA back in 1954. If Chedburn knows anything of history, no matter what country he is from, he will know that persecution like what he is committing begets great unpopularity, and will come around to bite him at some point. It matches, because this site is basically the most communist area I have found relating to Torn City. Everyone, helping everyone, equally. We may be communists here, but Chedburn is at the very least bordering on fascism in his leadership at Torn City.
I wish the best of luck to the new management, and to everyone bold enough as I am PimpChu, proudly using their Torn City name here.
