As you continue your journey you ran into a half dressed man, holding a half full bottle of water. You realize it is Mr. Washington, Torn's famous lawyer. His eyes seems red, his hand is shaking. His clothes are all over the path. Being the helpful person as you are, you reach over to grab his clothes. Before you know it, an officer arrests you for stealing a lawyers outfit.
You've been taken to jail

While traveling to jail, Susan tried to use the excuse that the influx of visitors during Halloween town was wrecking her town. The true reason though is greed ... if rumors got out that Halloween Town was a gold mine, literally, there would be no end of visitors here all year round.
Sheriff: Well, xx, I don't know how you did it, but you have cracked the case yet again. Don't fancy sticking around do you? I hear the position of Mayor is open ... Ha Ha !

Another year gone by. But this year ... this year, things will be different. No bloody events, no butchering. Just one BIG PARTY! So far things look great. It all comes down to the details now. You decide to check in on the sheriff, to see if he managed to arrange security.
Sheriff: xx ! Am I glad to see you. I had a call from Wally, his sister went missing. She has a habit for roaming around the forest for hours and not being able to find her way home. Go ask Wally what is going on, while I wait for a call about the security of your party. I promise you, this is the last thing you need to do for me!

The weather is looking pretty good for this time of the year and you have a feeling this will be a great day. You walk around town, seeing all these houses being decorated for Halloween and you look forward to meeting your friends for some trick-or-treating when you realize your trick-or-treat bag didn't survive last year and the shops are already closed. Just when you think you won't be able to go out tonight you notice Mrs. Cobble walking around and you ask her for a spare bag.
Mrs. Cobble: Hello xx ! Unfortunately I can't help you with a bag, but if you get me some wood, leaves and moss from the forest I will create a trick-or-treat basket for you ..

A bit grumpy that once again you are getting yourself involved in what you believe is the sheriff's job, you walk away. As you approach the edge of the woods you see a stocky young man wobbling towards you. You ask him if he is Wally and when he says he is, you tell him the sheriff asked you to pay him a visit.
Wally Wasnerat: You've got to help me. You HAVE GOT to help me! My sister Illyana has gone missing. She went into the woods and has not come out. I have looked all over for her, but so far, no sign of her. Will you help me find her? You have to help me find her! She is only eleven.

Search for Illyana

With a promise to help, you step into the forest. After walking around the woods for several minutes you notice some trails. Footsteps and pine cones on the ground! This could be it. You decide to follow the pine cone trail .. after another 15 minutes the pine cone trail stops at the foot of a huge oak tree. You hear strange noises coming from behind. Slowly you move over to see a racoon and his dinner .. wrong trail ! Slightly embarrassed you go back. Soon enough you pick up the footstep trail again ...

You quickly pick up the footsteps trail. It takes you even deeper into the forest. After walking around for ages you find pieces of a tattered cloth at the base of a tree. As you examine it you realize it is part of a dress! You look up at the tree and notice something strange. The tree has the face of a young girl embedded in the bark. You scratch your head. You take a closer look and see the lips moving. You move your head closer to the lips and it's like you can hear her call for help. This is something you have never seen before! You better go back and tell Wally about this.

You hurry back to find Wally. You see him on the edge of the woods out of breath from both running around searching and yelling out for his sister. You take a deep breath before telling Wally what happened to his sister.
Wally Wasnerat: She is what ??? A tree? How do you get to become a tree ? This must be some curse. I knew it ! I knew it ! We need help fixing this. For years I have heard rumours about a witch living around here. Supposedly somewhere close to a church or even in a church. Witches know how to deal with curses, right ? Will you please try and find her. She must know what to do. I will stay with Illyana and guard her, so no woodcutter will mistake her for a tree.

The group hides in the field waiting for Susan to pass. As she comes running past, the assembled mob jumps out and grabs her! There is a scream from the northwest as you spin around. Bill the butcher is standing there screaming Noooo!! He has to accept that you captured Susan. Thankfully you have the numbers with you or Bill the Butcher would make small work of you.
Bill the butcher: This is not over by a long shot! I'll be back for revenge, especially for you xx!! With that said, he disappears into the forest. You will have to re-group and fight this battle another time.
