Passwords Compromised

Torn City was hacked lately, and a number of passwords were taken and posted on the internet, including staff members and high levels.

TC has now changed its password encryption system to something much more secure
You will also have been prompted with a 'Change your password' screen on one of your last/ next login

Remember not to change your password back to your original one in the future.

essentially, if you viewed the 'AS IF BY MAGIC YOU ARE SIGNED OUT' page, then logged in again, your password was probably taken.
Not having this happen does not necessarily mean your password wasn't gained..

I would suggest for safety purposes that if your password was one of the ones compromised, to change the password for this site if you used the same one!

no wonder... this last few days I have to login more than 1 times to enter torn city... This is really a hard time for all TC player... But I believe soon enough the Admins will handle the situation and giving out some statement... Just be patient...

I don't like the way they tried to cover it up, making it sound like an excuse for everyone to change passwords. At least be honest to your loyal followers, Ched, else people will get a bit annoyed.

It's actually worrying how bad this game has (up until now when these changes have been forced) looked after.
1st we had a monthly (I back-up my pendrive more frequently) back-up that lost everyone's hard work, and now this?

Actually I think this situation was handled quite well.. Staff reacted straight away as far as I can tell.
But then again, I'd be much more pissed off if someone had logged into my account and taken all of my stuff...

let see well while some of u managed to just get a password change page i got my sigs reseted which i dont know how that is a security breach or any kind of anti-hacking technique and i still think some guy is hacking my account even though i changed my password like 5 times

this days i saw 2-3 persons that have made some sites in which you have to register...so they steal your password this way...they usually post a message in newspaper saying that they have a site with TC help and you have to login with your's TC username and password
