The total cost, without buying a car, of these parts comes to $9.635 million (assuming you purchase all of them), so remember that the rank 3 racing related Company special, Discount Parts (25% Discount on car parts), can help out greatly.
Firstly when you are starting out racing you can select 5 parts for you car, it is suggested that you buy the following parts:
| 0 Wins: | ||
| Acceleration: | Top Speed: | |
| Performance Mufflers | Turbo System Upgrade | |
| Custom Headers Upgrade | Performance Air Intake | |
| Single NOS Boost | ||
| Total Cost: $175,000 |
Keep in mind that you will not be keeping these parts are you progress and gain more wins but they are essential to get your first few wins. The reason for not having any handling or extra parts is because the speed you gain from these parts mentioned outweighs the risks of a crash.
The main key to racing comes down to 2 major factors, wins and endurance. You can think of the cars parts as multipliers as weapons are to strength. Do not attempt to buy every part as you get more wins as this is a waste of money and furthermore a waste of room for parts that you can get later but wont have enough wins to buy extras. Below is listed the parts suggested to buy in order of wins needed.
| 2 wins: | 3 wins: | 4 wins: | ||
| Acceleration: | Top Speed: | Acceleration: | ||
| Super Charger Upgrade | Triple NOS Boost | Electronic Boost Controls | ||
| Cost: $500,000 | Cost: $200,000 | Total Cost: $300,000 | ||
| 5 wins: | 6 wins: | 7 wins: | ||
| Acceleration: | Acceleration: | Top Speed: | ||
| Custom Rear End | Custom Fuel System | Power Flow Air Intake System | ||
| Top Speed: | Cost: $750,000 | Cost: $250,000 |
||
| Performance Power Pack | ||||
| Total Cost: $1,400,000 | ||||
| 10 wins: | ||||
| Top Speed: | ||||
| Air Diversion Panels | ||||
| Cost: $125,000 | Total Costs: $3,525,000 |
Below is a list of handling parts you should buy, wins needed and cost. It's suggested to get 10 wins first and all the top speed and acceleration parts but if you feel that you need a little more handling for you car along the way along the way ( e.g. frequently crashing not due to being in hospital or jail at the time), buy these as you feel necessary.
| Handling Parts: | ||||
| Body Mod Kit 1 | Body Mod Kit 2 | Weight Reduction Kit | ||
| Cost: $250,000 | Cost: $500,000 | Cost: $1,000,000 | ||
| Wins: 2 | Wins: 5 | Wins: 5 | ||
| Body Mod Kit EX | Wide Body Kit | Power Shifter Kit 1 | ||
| Cost: $600,000 | Cost: $2,000,000 | Cost: $500,000 | ||
| Wins: 5 | Wins: 6 | Wins: 7 | ||
| Power Shifter Kit 2 | ||||
| Cost: $750,000 | ||||
| Wins: 8 | Total Costs: $5,600,000 |
The parts listed below are extra parts, all for zero wins, but these should be the very last things that you buy. These parts will decrease time spent in hospital if you crash and is also rumored to make the driver more confident.
Helmet: $10,000
Custom Roll Cage: $500,000
Racing Harnesses: $100,000
Flame Retardant Suit: $300,000
